Follow along as I show you how I made this tag using Magenta stamps and stencil.

First you need to gesso the entire surface of your tag.  Next add texture paste through the blossoms stencil (Magenta MCo1).20170312_192545

After drying thoroughly, drip Liquitex fluid acrylics on different areas of the tag, spraying with water as needed to assist drippage.               Dry thoroughly.20170312_193208

Stamp with background stamps (Magenta C48016-M and C95213-M) using Archival Ink – Watering Can.

Tear off excess tissue paper from around image and adhere to tag with matte medium (apply a coat of medium to tag, apply tissue paper and add a thin coat over surface of tissue paper, being careful not to tear the paper).  Add a thin coat of matte medium over entire tag.

Enhance colors of tag, using Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens. I used May Green 170, Permanent Green Olive 167, Orange Glaze 113, Scarlet Red 118, Deep Scarlet Red 219.

Splatter tag with watered down acrylic paint in umber and white.

Attach self adhesive embellishment (Magenta PEO 10-A-C Tulip) and rub Inka Gold – Greenyellow over surface of embellishment and on tag where book pages are visible.  Stamp sentiment and adhere to tag.  Outline embellishment and sentiment with black Stabilo All pencil and waterbrush.

Create dashed border with black Faber Castell Pitt Pen.  Edge borders of tag with Archival Ink – Watering Can.  Attach ribbons/strings and pinecones.
